Gel mediums

All gel mediums can be mixed with New Masters Classic Acrylics and New Masters Mediums in the appropriate quantities to achieved the desired result. As the New Masters Classic Acrylics are based on a unique acrylic binding agent system, we advise you to test before mixing with an acrylic paint, or a medium from a different manufacturer.

900 Standard gel medium gloss

  • A glossy gel with the same viscosity as that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics.

901 Soft gel mediums gloss

  • A glossy gel with a more fluid viscosity than that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics.

902 Heavy gel medium gloss

  • A glossy gel with a thicker viscosity than that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics.

903 High build gel medium gloss

  • A glossy gel for the impasto painting technique: for acquiring a paint layer with a heavy structure.
  • This High Build Gel is semi-opaque.

904 Extra heavy gel medium gloss

  • A brilliant gel for impasto, a painting technique involving a thick paint layer with heavy structure .
  • This heavy gel is transparent.

  • A satin gel with the same viscosity as that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics.

911 Soft gel medium satin

  • A satin gel with a more fluid viscosity than that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics.

912 Heavy gel medium satin

913 High Build gel medium satin

  • A satin gel for impasto, a painting technique involving a thick paint layer with heavy structure .
  • This High Build gel is semi-opaque

  • A matt gel with the same viscosity as that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics

921 Soft gel medium matt

  • A matt gel with a more fluid viscosity than that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics.

922 Heavy gel medium matt

  • A matt gel with a thicker viscosity than that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics.

923 High build gel medium matt

  • A matt gel for the impasto painting technique: for acquiring a paint layer with a heavy structure.
  • This High Build Gel is semi-opaque.

924 Extra heavy gel medium matt

  • A matt gel for impasto, a painting technique involving a thick paint layer with heavy structure .
  • This heavy gel is transparent.

930 Acrylic Pearlescent Tinting Gel Medium

  • A universal pearlescent gel.
  • For best results, add 20% acrylic paint and mix to an even paste.

970 Retarder gel medium

  • A gel for slowing the drying time, with the same viscosity as that of the New Masters Classic Acrylics.
  • Keeps the colours open and clear
  • Add a maximum of 10% to the acrylic paint

960 Acrylic medium gloss

  • a glossy medium without thickener for increasing the fluidity of the acrylic paint.
  • can be mixed with New Masters Classic Acrylics in any desired quantity.
  • dries as a durable transparent film

961 Acrylic medium satin

  • a satin medium without thickener for increasing the fluidity of the acrylic paint.
  • can be mixed with New Masters Classic Acrylics in any desired quantity.
  • dries as a durable satin film

962 Acrylic medium matt

  • a matt medium without thickener for increasing the fluidity of the acrylic paint.
  • can be mixed with New Masters Classic Acrylics in any desired quantity.
  • dries as a durable matt film

963 Acrylic glazing medium

  • an ideal medium for the glacis painting technique with the New Masters Classic Acrylics

950 Acrylic silkscreen paste

  • a universal screen printing medium

Varnishes

All varnishes increase the chemical and physical resistance, and protect against ultraviolet light. The varnishes improve the colour intensity and increase the durability of the painting. Ensure that the surface to be treated is clean and apply using a suitable varnish brush. The varnishes contain a petroleum distillate. Do not dilute the varnishes, or mix with water. Dried varnish can be removed with white spirit. Clean materials immediately after use using white spirit.

980 UV Resistant varnish gloss

  • a glossy removable painting varnish on a basis of cyclohexanol

981 UV Resistant varnish satin

  • a satin removable painting varnish on a basis of cyclohexanol

982 UV Resistant varnish matt

  • a matt removable painting varnish on a basis of cyclohexanol

Primers

990 Gesso White

  • a universal white lightfast primer for carriers such as canvas, cotton, paper, stone, etc.
  • can be diluted with a maximum of 20% water.
  • can be applied in multiple layers, with 3 to 4 hours drying time between the layers.
  • suitable as primer for acrylics, oils, watercolours and egg tempera.
  • can be mixed with all New Masters Classic Acrylics colours.

991 Gesso Black

  • a universal black lightfast primer for carriers such as canvas, cotton, paper, stone, etc.
  • can be diluted with a maximum of 20% water.
  • can be applied in multiple layers, with 3 to 4 hours drying time between the layers.
  • suitable as primer for acrylics, oils, watercolours and egg tempera.
  • can be mixed with all New Masters Classic Acrylics colours.

992 Gesso Grey

  • A universal grey lightfast primer for carriers such as canvas, cotton, paper, stone, etc.
  • Can be diluted with a maximum of 20% water
  • Apply in multiple layers, with 3 to 4 hours drying time between layers
  • Suitable as primer for acrylics, oils, watercolours and egg tempera
  • Can be mixed with all New Masters Classic Acrylics colours

993 Gesso Beige
